DESIGN

OCEAN-INSPIRED

The BYD SEAL U is an eco-friendly PHEV SUV that merges ocean-inspired styling with a futuristic design. Its distinctive double U-shaped headlights enhance visibility, while the sleek rear showcases a continuous taillight in a striking water-drop matrix pattern. Complementing the design, 19-inch aerodynamic wheels add a sporty touch while reducing drag, boosting both efficiency and driving refinement.

INTERIOR

A FUTURE-FIRST INTERIOR

The BYD SEAL U’s interior showcases a futuristic design, highlighted by a floating centre console and a large rotatable touchscreen for seamless connectivity. ‘Hi BYD’ voice control and intuitive function buttons make driving effortless. Ocean-inspired touches include a crystal gear lever and multifunctional seats with heating, ventilation, and memory settings for maximum comfort.

A panoramic sunroof fills the cabin with natural light, while advanced NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) technology ensures a quiet ride. Ambient lighting and a premium sound system create an immersive atmosphere, and a head-up display keeps key information in view. Developed exclusively by BYD, this intelligent Dual Mode system boosts energy efficiency, lowers fuel consumption, and optimises both performance and comfort. BYD plug-in hybrids bear the “DM” badge, with the “i” in DM-i emphasising intelligent, energy-efficient driving in the SEAL U.

ENHANCED SAFETY AS STANDARD

Boasting a Euro NCAP 5-star rating, the SEAL U Super Hybrid prioritises safety without compromise. Its Blind Spot Detection system alerts you to fast-approaching vehicles in your side mirror blind spots. Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), which combines Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Centering Control (LCC), manages both longitudinal and lateral control at speeds from 0 to 120 km/h, enhancing comfort and ease on the road. When reversing, rear-mounted millimetre-wave radar continuously monitors surrounding road users, providing warnings or automatically applying the brakes to help prevent potential collisions.

Enjoy fast and convenient charging with the BYD SEAL U Super Hybrid. This plug-in hybrid SUV supports 18 kW DC rapid charging, recharging the battery from 30% to 80% in just 35 minutes, so you can spend less time plugged in and more time on the road.
